The Chapter meets for one hour, four times a year and any member in good standing can nominate a local charity in advance of each meeting. In response to the pandemic our meetings are now conducted via Zoom. Zoom sign-in begins at 5:30pm and the business meeting is from 6:00-7:00pm. You will be sent the Zoom login information via email prior to the meeting.
In November 2021 we began offering a hybrid meeting option. Please watch your email for the in-person location and how to participate via zoom is you are interested in that option.
Three charities will be selected at random by the Steering Committee after which the member will be notified that their charity was selected. The member is responsible for contacting the agency to inform them and ask for an agency representative to present at the meeting about their project.
The agency representative has up to five (5) minutes to talk about their charity, about what kind of impact it makes and the intended use of 100 Women Who Care-Franklin County’s donation followed by five (5) minutes for questions and answers.
Then the members in attendance vote on which cause to support. The charity with the most votes receives the donations.
We are now offering an on-line option for your donations to 100 Women Who Care-Franklin County. Grapevine (GV) is a collaborative giving platform that’s designed specifically to help groups like ours (which they call "giving circles”) come together to collect donations, communicate, and collaborate more easily online. It is used by hundreds of other organizations, including over 60 chapters of 100 Women Who Care. You will receive an separate email from us via Grapevine so you can sign up. Standard credit card fees would apply or you can pay by debit card. If you wish, you can still mail your check directly to us.
After you submit the membership form you will receive an invitation from us to join Grapevine if you are interested in submitting your donation on-line.
When all donations are in, they are presented to the director of the chosen organization. The receiving agency must agree not to solicit members or share names or other information about 100 Women Who Care members.
This is not an annual commitment. You will be a member until you submit your resignation in writing on our Contact Us page.
